Conway Ultimate Tournament (February 20 2023)
On President's day we hosted the first annual Conway Ultimate Tournament! Held at the the Conway community center in St. Paul, 5 high school teams competed in a round robin style tournament. It was awesome! So great to be able to watch some ultimate in cold and snowy February, and the players and coaches were super excited to play. East Ridge high school, Woodbury high school, Edina high school, Central high school, and Minneapolis South high school were the 5 teams at this year's tournament. Special thanks to the Sanneh Foundation and the helpful staff members at Conway for helping us make this happen. We look forward to next year's tournament!

Old Capitol Open (March 25-26)
Our first Tournament of the spring season! We finished the weekend going 5-2 and placing 7th out of 16 teams. On Saturday, we had a great day, going 4-0. First we played University of Iowa B, who we beat 13-4. It was a great first game and a nice reminder of how to play frisbee outside (Minnesota winters are tough). Although, the temperature that day in Marion, Iowa was in the mid thirties at the start of the day, it warmed up to 50 by our last game. The sun even made an appearance! It was quite windy, which heavily influenced how our games were played. Our next game was against University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. This was a tougher game for us, but we prevailed 9-8. It was an adventure adjusting to the wind, but we improved as the day went on. Our final game was our best of the day, beating University of Nebraska 9-6, A huge win for us. Winning against a division 1 opponent showed us how good we are, and gave us the belief that we can compete against anyone. We finished the day going 3-0 in pool play, and matched up against UW Madison B in the prequarters, besting them 8-5.
On Day 2, we started off against Saint Louis in the Quarterfinals in a back and forth matchup. While taking half 6-5 on a 2-0 run, we struggled in the wind and lost 6-8 on a long 19-minute point. After our first loss, it was hard to rouse our troops for our second game against Michigan Tech and we fell again 10-7. In our last game for seventh place, we battled hard against Minnesota B, taking the win on universe point 10-9. Overall, we felt very confident about our place in the team and are working hard to tighten up our skill before the series! Flat Earth is on the come up!
